What subjects do you paint?
I've always liked painting animals and landscape with a twist of magic, but I'm open to any subjects as long as they fit into my style and world.
How long does a painting take?
Once a booking is made I am able to give an approximate time slot for when the work will be completed. The time it takes to complete the painting is subject to the paintings medium (watercolour or oil), size and intricacy. I have limited time slots throughout the year, especially leading up to Christmas, so you will need to book well in advance. You need to also take into account shipping times too. If there is a certain deadline for a gift or event, then it is advisable to contact me well in advance and give me all the details so that I can accommodate your requirements. I will endeavour to get the painting finished in plenty of time for you to wrap it up.

How much does a painting cost?
I have a price guide which gives an example of painting costs. You can access it here - Pricing and Payments
I'm not sure what size painting to have?
This is a popular question and there are a few things to take into consideration. Apart from budget, you might like to think where you would like to display the painting. What size space do you have available, allowing for the frame depth, if it is a framed item. I'd recommend cutting pieces of card or paper to various sizes and holding them up to the wall where you thin the painting might go. This can help to visualise it within the space available.
When do you need payment?
A deposit of at least 30% is required with every order. The non refundable deposit secures your slot and is required before work commences. The balance is then due on completion and before collection/posting.
How do I pay?
My preferred payment method is via Bank Transfer. If you would prefer to pay via PayPal, please note additional transaction fees will apply.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes you can, but please get in touch to discuss prior to making payment of your deposit.
Do your paintings come framed?
My watercolours come complete with a mount and wooden frame.  My miniature oil paintings come with a handmade plaster frame, and my larger oils come unframed.
Can I see my painting before it is sent to me?
I will happily email you a work in progress sneak peak photo of the artwork and then I can send another photo on completion. However, Some people prefer not see any photos at all, as they don't want to spoil the surprise.
Do you need photos to paint from?
Yes if you want me to paint a precise subject (pet, place, person, ...), no if your starting point is an idea or a concept.
Do you send your paintings worldwide?
Yes, but only for pieces not exceeding A3 size. Postage will be at your charge.
Can I pick my painting up from your studio?
Absolutely! You are very welcome to pick up your artwork in person at my studio in Neuchâtel. We just need to arrange a time and date via email or phone.
Do you offer prints of the painting?
Yes I can arrange for high quality prints to be produced from my artwork using a high resolution photo or scan. These can be presented in a mount and frame if required. Pricing is subject to size. I won't however sell copies of your painting unless you give me written consent.
Can I use my painting commercially or take copies of it myself?
No I'm afraid not. I hold the copyright to the artwork created even if it comes from your photo. I will never reproduce or sell your painting, or allow its usage on any other website apart from mine and my social media pages, unless I have written permission to do so.
Do you display the painting on your website and social media?
Once the artwork is complete and in the hands of the recipient I reserve the right to display the artwork on my website and social media pages. If a customer is unhappy about the painting being displayed, they must inform me upon ordering.
Can you visit me?
I am happy to make an appointment to visit you at your home or elsewhere to discuss your commission requirements. I am happy to travel within a 25 mile radius of Neuchâtel.
Do you provide certificates of authenticity?
Yes I do. They are printed on white card and signed by myself. The certificates are provided with every original artwork produced.
